Welcome to our new website! Launched in October 2025 — connecting the Nepali community in Sandhurst and beyond.
The Sandhurst Nepali Community (SNC) was established in 2007 to unite and support the growing Nepali population in Sandhurst and surrounding areas. The organization was founded to promote cultural heritage, social welfare, and community integration among Nepali families living in the United Kingdom.
The inaugural gathering was held on 29 April 2007 at the New Owlsmoor Community Centre, located at 1 Cambridge Road, Owlsmoor, Sandhurst, GU47 0UB. This milestone event marked the beginning of a collective effort to preserve Nepali traditions while fostering friendship and cooperation within the wider local community.
The community was founded under the leadership of Founder Chairman Mr. Durga Ramjali Pun, whose vision and dedication laid the foundation for the organization’s continued success. The current coordination team includes:
Mrs. Deborah Angdembe
Mr. Jurendra Khajum Limbu
Mr. Narendra Angdembe
Together, they continue to organize cultural programs, social gatherings, and charitable initiatives that strengthen community bonds and encourage active participation among members.
To preserve and promote Nepali culture, values, and traditions within the multicultural society of the United Kingdom, while fostering unity, friendship, and mutual support among community members. The Sandhurst Nepali Community is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of its members through cultural, educational, and social activities that encourage inclusivity and belonging.
To build a vibrant, self-sustaining Nepali community in Sandhurst that contributes positively to both the local and wider British society. SNC envisions a future where Nepali heritage is celebrated, the younger generation remains connected to their roots, and all members are empowered to thrive through shared cultural pride, cooperation, and community spirit.
